Words can not begin to express the gratitude that I feel towards Cynthia Funk and the Toronto Yoga Sanctuary. I began my Yoga Teachers Training in 2004 and went on to do the Advanced Teachers Training 2 years later and have nothing but the highest regard and respect for the quality and level of training which I received during both trainings.

When I began my studies at the Yoga Sanctuary, little did I know that the knowledge, wisdom, guidance, and kindness which Cynthia and the many excellent teachers she employs would take me as far, serve me as well, or influence me in as many positive ways as they have. Cynthia, Karusia, and Cora are superlative teachers and the teacher training program at the Toronto Yoga Sanctuary is one of the best programs available.

The Evolving Spirit 250 YTT was everything I hoped it would be as it helped me to develop excellent skills and to overcome my stage fright and fear of teaching; it provided many opportunities for students to hone their personal practice and enhance their skills as well as consistently practice teaching what we had learned.

After a few years of teaching professionally full time and learning to hone my craft, I got very hungry for more and the Advanced Teachers Training provided me with exactly what I was looking for: the space, support, guidance and mentorship needed in order to address the many issues and challenges faced by new teachers. It taught me to deepen my personal practice and take it to deeper levels as well as enhanced my teaching skills, languaging, and adjustments necessary to effectively teach advanced practices to multi-level students.

The sense of community, the friendships, the good satsang, the wise and generous sharing of knowledge, experience, and the wisdom of all the teachers and students who cross the threshold of The Yoga Sanctuary are, and continue to be, an invaluable part of my life and I highly recommend and encourage anyone considering a teacher's training to participate in this most excellent program.
