Recipes from Orlando's Living Kitchen ~ February 2010 Recipe

Salad Supreme

1 medium head of romaine lettuce
2 handfuls of sprouts...sunflower and alfalfa
1/4 bunch cilantro
1/4 bunch parsley
20 mint leaves
20 basil leaves
1 or 2 ripe avocados
1 large ripe tomato cut into chunks
about 20 pine nuts ~ they are a lovely surprise!
15 black olives
2 tbsp of hemp seeds
1 tsp of dulse flakes

Dressing

3 tbsp olive oil or oil of preference
1/2 lemon juiced
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar, sulphite free
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

Well it does not get any easier than this. You throw it all in a bowl and put your dressing goodies right on top and mix it up. Feel free to share it with your friends. You may feel the need to adjust some of the condiments. Go for it. Play with this salad. There are 1,000 variations to this delight.
