all, It's originally from House & Garden 1976 but I found it in the Moosewood Restaurant: Cooks at Home and New Classics. (both books) The former acknowledges they were pleasantly surprised that the cake was, indeed, economical, low-cholesterol and delicious! The latter has renamed the recipe as a Vegan chocolate cake. No matter, its just easy and yummy! So here goes. If you plan on serving it right out of the pan, you can mix the dry ingredients right into a 9" round baking pan. I usually use a 8" square so I mix in a bowl because mixing in those corners is not easy! 1 1/2 cups unbleached
