The literal meaning of Puja is adoration. Puja is the act of showing reverence to a god, a spirit, or another aspect of the divine through invocations, prayers, songs, and rituals.

About Anna Demetrakopoulos

In 1997, after five years as a yoga student, I decided to commit to being a lifelong student of yoga by becoming a teacher. I originally trained in Kundalini and White Tantric Yoga. I have integrated those teachings, with my training in higher dimensional energy alignment and the Tantric lineage of Shakti Yoga, which is literally 'the activation of lifeforce connection'. I currently focus on meditation and devotional singing with my teacher, Mata Amritandamayi (Ammachi), who has re-enlivened ancient Hindu Divine Mother practices.

Through yoga, I have experienced profound healing and empowerment, both physically and emotionally. Yoga has worked like an eraser for negative patterns, helping me to stop the behaviours that made my life like re-runs on TV, where only the faces change. The awareness and presence developed through maintaining yoga in my life has opened my ability to feel more connected to others. It has strengthened my creative response to all situations and my sense of being a whole person. I want to share this yogic knowledge with as many people as possible.
