DANFORTH PRE-REGISTERED COURSE YIN YOGA Sundays ~ 4 week course Yin Yoga is a slow, deep practice that increases your flexibility by stretching & stimulating the connective tissue of the hips and spine rather than the muscles. This is a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating form of yoga where the poses are held for several minutes targeting the more ‘yin’ parts of our physical and emotional body. Yin yoga is a great complement to the more active "Yang" (Vinyasa) styles of yoga and beneficial for recovery and injury prevention of high impact sports. This quiet and contemplative yoga helps prepare the student for deeper meditation practice. About Cathy Keenan
Having studied with Paul Grilley, Chuck Miller & Maty Ezraty and completed a teacher training in restorative yoga with Hali Schwartz, she enjoys creating an environment in her class which explores different styles/sequencing and breath work to create a practice that is both challenging and invigorating. Cathy is currently studying acupuncture at The Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto.
