COLLEGE PRE-REGISTERED COURSE YOGA FOR DETOXIFICATION Mondays ~ 6 weeks Although perspiring is a great way to detoxify the body, the yoga tradition offers many asana and other health practices to help clear away toxins. Not all of these involve intense sweating! In this 6 week series we will look at the yogic science of detoxification and choose practices which target the digestive organs to help clear away the excess accumulated during winter. We will also use practices which detoxify the energy body (pranaymaya kosha) and mind. Dietary, fasting and simple cleansing practices which you can do on your own will also be introduced. Spring is the perfect time to detox! Join Ann Marie for this series and clarify your body and mind. About Anne-Marie Hood Anne-Marie currently teaches yoga for artists at the Ontario College of Art and Design, a senior's class at Women's Health in Women's Hands and yoga for trauma survivors at the Barbara Schlifer Clinic. She is the founder of Brown Girl's Yoga, a yoga programme for women of colour and the Ebony Yoga Circle initiative to bring yoga into the Afro-Caribbean community through peer training. Anne-Marie also maintains a private intuitive energy healing practice in Toronto.
