Blooming From Our Inner Energy
with Cora Wen
Friday, July 25 to Sunday, 27 @ College
"She's a gem. She glows. She's
got the juju, and knows what's happening. Breathe, bend and bloom with
Cora. You'll be glad you did!"
~ Erich Schiffmann, YOGA BLOOM
Only
$150 + gst for the entire weekend!
Friday, July 25 ~ 7:00-10:00pm ~ Foundations
of Your Roots ~ $45 + gst
We will combine power and beauty, grace and strength to create a balanced
yoga practice. This class will focus on the breath and energy connections
in the body and subtle movements that help align the body. We will focus
on enhancing your range of motion, developing a supple body, while providing
tools necessary to make the asanas safe. Find strength and ease in your
standing postures through this workshop.
Saturday, July 26 ~ 5:00-7:00pm ~ Connecting to Source
~ $30 + gst
This workshop will provide a flowing vinyasa class working with the energy
medians. We will explore the practice of yoga not only as a path for fitness
and healing, but also as an integral practice to help awaken our highest
potential as human beings. When we look deeply with introspection, we
can develop the power to quiet and focus our minds. Comforted and supported
by inner strength, we can access an elusive state – a place of stillness,
from the inside out.
Saturday, July 26 ~ 7:45-9:45pm ~ Blooming a Lotus
~ $30 + gst
In our Western Culture, we sit most days and often feel stiffness in our
pelvis and back. This class will focus on a series of postures to open
the hips, hamstrings and quadriceps. Opening the hips will allow you to
flow in your practice more easily, and from finding your core and utilizing
the power, not exploiting weight or strength. Using various hip opening
sequences we will open ourselves like the petals of a lotus flower, encouraging
our bodies to be relaxed while in lotus pose.
Sunday, July 27 ~ 5:00-8:00pm ~ Unveiling Heaven
~ $45 + gst
This workshop will explore bending back with grace. Use the heat of the
summer to your advantage. Energize the deepest parts of you to encourage
back bending. Asana practice will concentrate on the quality of letting
go – arriving at our edge and responding with compassion. Softening
of the physical body translates into the way we relate to our inner life.
When we allow ourselves to let go of our habits, we can awaken a beautiful
stillness, the path of wholeness and openness within ourselves and others.
