Teachers Anne-Marie Hood
As a teacher, I offer those who come to class a place to practice yoga as an "art" where art means connecting to ourselves creatively, shifting our experience by playing with the elasticity of our minds and allowing the mind to have an effect on what we experience in the body. Mind first. Intention first. In my own practice, I use yoga to support my life as a musician. Not one to whom discipline comes easily, through yoga i've learned to value of just showing up. Many people have helped my journey, through training's in Pilates, Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and the wonderful folks here at The Yoga Sanctuary. In addition to classes here, I also teach yoga for the visually impaired through an organization called Balance, a senior's class at Women's Health in Women's Hands, and maintain a private energy healing practice. |
